Mazula entered the field of basketball under her father and played basketball in her college career, but he failed to participate in the NBA draft in 2011, and then started his coaching career. Mazula served as an assistant coach at Fairmont State in 2013 and was promoted to head coach in 2017, with 43 wins and 17 losses in two seasons.
