Failed to win three consecutive championships! Coach Kang Da talked about rejecting the Lakers offer: My father once suggested that I accept it

August 19th, recently, University of Connecticut coach Hurley was interviewed and talked about refusing the Lakers' coaching contract last year. According to reports at the time, Hurley rejected a 6-year, 70 million contract.

He revealed that his father had suggested that he accept the contract. He said: "This is the thing about my father. At different stages of my career, he suggested that we seize opportunities and accept (a higher platform) jobs, but he never did this himself. I always reserved my father's words for career development advice because he never left St. Anthony High School. He could have coached at any level, but he never left that high school. So, the only thing I didn't listen to his advice was about how to develop my career."

Hurley rejected the Lakers' contract in order to lead Kang Da to win three consecutive championships, but Kang Da lost to the University of Florida 75-77 in the third round of crazy rounds, ended in the top 32 and missed the three consecutive championships.
