Former trainer: The collapse of the Lakers Dynasty is not just a matter of OK combination. Everyone has a responsibility for the team.

August 12th, former Lakers chief trainer Gary Witty talked about the collapse of the Lakers dynasty in 2004 while visiting Byron Scott's podcast. He believes that this should not be blamed only by O'Neal and Kobe, and that the specific responsibility involves more people.

Viti said: "A team is like a family. You might lose your temper with your family, you might get angry with your mom, dad, brother or sister. But you won't stop loving them, that's the difference. In that era, we stopped loving each other, and when that happened, people started to take sides."

"It's easy for everyone to put the blame on Kobe... It really bothers me because we should have won ten championships. It's easy to blame Kobe, and it's easy to blame O'Neal. So what about the others? Including me. There are other players, management, bosses and coaches. People choose their own camps." Viti said.

Viti believes that despite O'Neal and Kobe's disagreement in the battle for control of the team, no one else in the organization can do their part to help solve the problem. Once the front line is drawn, there is no way back. After the

OK combination collapsed, Kobe won two more titles (2009 and 2010), and O'Neal won one more title (2006).
