Jazz s record: The Lakers are interested in getting Jazz player Collins, and the two sides have started a trading discussion

According to Jazz reporter Andy Larsen, the Lakers are interested in getting Jazz player John Collins through a trade.

Collins has a $26.58 million player option next season. This season, he played 40 games for the Jazz, averaging 19.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, shooting 52.7% from the field, 39.9% from three-point shooting percentage and 84.8% from free throw percentage.

The Lakers lost to the Timberwolves 1-4 in the first round of this year's playoffs. Head coach Redick used a center-free lineup in the second half of the fourth game and the fifth game of the series.
