NBA mock deal sends Antetokounmpo to a team that has never had a superstar

Antetokounmpo is expected to be traded this offseason after the Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Indiana Pacers in the first round.

Superstar forward Antetokounmpo is the best player in the team's history and is expected to demand a trade after losing in the first round for the third consecutive year. If he really asks for a deal, 29 teams will ask him, but his potential transfers appear to be the Nets, Spurs and Rockets. However, a Western Conference team may trade Greek monsters.

Anteaux could be the first superstar for the Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies are a proud team that has achieved some historic success, especially in their Grit and Grind era. Memphis has never touted a true superstar (the Gasol brothers are close, but Memphis is not a perennial All-Star either), and while Morant can take the next step, injuries and suspensions have begun to pile up, limiting his cap.

Antesco has made it clear that he wants to win the championship, and his loyalty to the Bucks shows that the size of the market is not important. Memphis rarely participates in compelling deals, but superstars like Antetokounmpo may change that. The Grizzlies may be considering a readjustment after being eliminated in the first round. Morant’s popularity in the organization may diminish, and general manager Zach Kleiman said the big move is coming.

Pippen Jr. scored 28 and 30 points in the last two games of the playoffs, suggesting he will play a bigger role in the future. With tradable young assets and some draft capital, the Grizzlies could be an Antetokounmpo’s landing site. The simulated deal sends Antetokounmpo to the Grizzlies in exchange for one of the three best players in the world, the Grizzlies will have to part ways with Morant, Jaylen Wells and Zach Eddie. Most importantly, the Grizzlies will send their first-round picks in 2027, 2029 and 2031. Wells is third in the Rookie of the Year vote, and fans may not want to break up with him, even though 2024 was advertised as a dull draft year, his pace of progress has to be questioned. The Bucks have three young players and some much-needed draft capital, and the Grizzlies can send the starting fives for Antetokounmpo, Pippen Jr., Jaren Jackson Jr., Bain and Kennard. Clark, Jackson and Aldama provide a solid start to the bench lineup, although adding depth will be a priority.

But playing with Antetokounmpo and winning the championship would be a good selling point that can improve the culture and status of their team. But paying so many high-quality chips at one time may not make the Grizzlies management easily pay for it. What do you think?
