Nuggets Rising Star says Westbrook helped him learn to defend Harden, becoming one of the key points to win

Nuggets defeated the Clippers in a convincing way, winning Game 7 and now advances to the second round of the playoffs. Harden once again staged one of his worst playoff performances in his career, scoring only seven points. And on the other end, his former Thunder teammate Westbrook was absolutely sensational, with a substitute scored 16 points.

Westbrook said after the game that he felt disrespectful by the Clippers during the series. He punished them with this disrespect as motivation. Now it seems that he hasn't just hurt the Clippers with his performance. In fact, a Nuggets star explained how he helped himself understand how to successfully defend James Harden.

Braun: Westbrook helped me find a way to defend Harden

In an interview after Game 7, Braun explained his approach, and he played an elite defense against Harden, keeping him at 7 points. Braun revealed that Westbrook helped him understand Harden's moves and habits throughout the series so that he could better defend him.

"Perhaps the biggest helping part is Westbrook. He played with James, he played with James. So he knows how he plays. He tells me what to give him, when to force him to make a wrong pass, and when he moves to the right, that's what he's doing. I learned this in the process of the series. As we progress, I get better and better. Tonight the guys and the coaches trust me. We don't want to substitutions, they keep me staring at Harden all night."

Nuggets are now turning their attention to the Thunder

Although they will celebrate tonight, Adelman revealed that the Nuggets will fly to Oscars tomorrow to prepare for their second round of series. The Nuggets are at a clear disadvantage in this series. While the Nuggets played seven tough games in the first round, the Thunder had a great rest, sweeping the Grizzlies and getting a break.

Still, O'Neal supported the Denver Nuggets to win the series, partly because of Westbrook. He will have to play a similar role, and if so, it will help the Nuggets beat his former team in the second round. But the upcoming semi-finals of the two sides will also be a difficult showdown. It is hard to say that any team can take advantage of the opponent; one is the Nuggets led by Jokic, who has championship experience, and the Thunder is the team led by Alexander, one of the future appearances of the league. This will be the best confrontation between spears and shields.

Although the Nuggets have completely insufficient rest time, the Thunder's full rest or some redemption battle may become the Nuggets' first advantage in the semi-finals and have a good start in the away game. What do you think?
