Ary reported that after weeks of ongoing negotiations since the free agent market opened, Westbrook is expected to join the Sacramento Kings. Westbrook's agent Jeff Schwartz has been in close communication with Kings officials throughout the negotiations.
Westbrook played 75 regular season games for the Nuggets last season, averaging 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.4 steals per game. After the offseason started this year, Westbrook refused to execute his $3.47 million player option and decided to try the free market.
