According to Chaitanya Dadwar, contributor of US sports media F/W. NBA viewers were angry when Alexander received multiple controversial foul decisions in Game 1 against the Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals.

The Thunder defeated the Timberwolves in Game 1, which was initially close to the NBA Western Conference Finals. They beat Minnesota by 26 points and won the game 114-88 after a big break in the fourth quarter. The third quarter ended with a 10-point game, but the Thunder made an appearance in the fourth quarter, adding another 16-point lead (38-22 in the quarter).

Struggling in the first half, Alexander found his rhythm in the second half and destroyed the Timberwolves in the game. He had only 11 points in the first half (with seven free throws), but finished with 31 points, nine assists and five rebounds, with 11 of 14 shots on the free throw line. Alexander was given several favorable foul penalties, which can be said to be not supposed to be sentenced from the beginning. Multiple slight physical contacts, Alexander's contact on the defender's foul, and so on. This angered NBA fans and media members who took to social media to criticize these controversial topics that are good for the Canadian star. Even Edwards was frustrated by Alexander's ability to reach the free throw line. He even threw the ball at the SGA in frustration, which gave him a technical foul.

"This is so stupid, haha. The SGA created this contact and then started stumble and made it look like it was fouled. The NBA needs to stop rewarding players with this junk style. It's junk," said a disgruntled netizen.

"I don't care who won this game. The SGA got a really bad touch foul penalty. They're not the same as anything else that happened in the playoffs," Bill Simmons said. The playoffs are usually the epitome of NBA basketball’s physical fitness. Throughout the season, one can arguably see the most physical form of basketball, as the referee should understand the severity and despair of the situation, especially when you are so close to winning everything.

"The whistle of SGA needs research," a frustrated fan wrote on X.

"Hell shot, but another ridiculous SGA gets the whistle," wrote Jason Timpf of Volume Sports.

"It's nice that people saw the SGA's failure on national television. A player joke that is definitely worth watching. After Alexander was tripped up without touching anything," said an annoyed fan on X and still got the initial decision in his favor until the coach's challenge was sent out and they realized what was going on.

Previously, the opposing coach also pointed out the unfair referee they saw in support of the "foul artist" Alexander. The data also "revealed" the reality behind SGA's multiple 30-point games in the playoffs this season. It almost reminds me of James Harden, and how the league had to fight foul bait as he managed to find a way to initiate contact, sending him to the 858 free throw line (he led 754-858 from the free throw line in the 2018-19 season). Does the

also have to hit Alexander's way of playing? Is this unfair to other players, or is the SGA too good for the rest of the league?
