June 22 The Sun reported that the Celtics are interested in introducing Kawasaki forward player Shin Yamada.

25-year-old Shin-Yamada plays as a striker. He scored 15 league goals in the 2024 season and helped the team reach the AFC final. Although he has only won 6 goals in various competitions this season, the strong forward is still optimistic about landing in Europe. It is reported that the Japanese shooter has attracted the attention of many overseas clubs, including the Celtics.

When Postkoglu was coaching, the Celtics signed five players including Hiroki Kobashi, Flagbearer Renyo and Maeda Daran from the J League and were very successful. The team is currently operating Niigata Swan Nakamatsu Junsu of Shinsu, and is also evaluating Yamada Shin.

Celtics coach Rodgers hopes to add the striker before the new season. The team's forward Jonny Kenny is attracting the attention of British teams and may leave the team on loan. Yamada's experience of competing with Kawasaki's striker in top domestic and foreign events has become a plus, and the contract has only 18 months left, making the transfer fee controllable.
