In the latest ESPN mock draft, Cedric Coward, a major four-winger from Washington State, is expected to be selected with the 30th pick. In an interview with ESPN, Coward also talked about his market in the next NBA draft. Coward said: I have visited the Boston Celtics and the Oklahoma City Thunder and have conducted private solo trials for them. At the same time, there were 7 other teams watching my training process in Los Angeles. I think I can be selected, and I am full of confidence in this. Currently I'm looking to see which team is willing to give me a chance and I've got some very positive feedback from some teams.

Coward continued: Many teams may not be willing to say it directly, and they do not want to show their true attitude at this stage. Whether you get a draft promise or not, it doesn't matter to me, and there is still a lot of work to do in front of me. There are 59 opportunities this year, and if I have the honor of being one of these 59 players, it is all blessings from God. Whether the first one was selected or the 59th one was selected, it doesn't matter to me. Because after entering the NBA, you still have a lot of work to do, and the draft pick is not that important. What is important is whether the team can give you the opportunity to show off on the court.

Coward was born in September 2003 and is 21 years old. He is an all-round wing player with both offense and defense. According to data from the previous joint trial physical test, Coward's bare feet were 196.2cm, his wingspan was 219.1cm, his standing height was 269.2cm, and his weight was 96.6kg. In the NCAA field this season, Coward only played 6 games in total due to injury, averaging 32.8 minutes, averaging 17.7 points, 7.0 rebounds (1.8 frontcourt rebounds), 3.7 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.7 blocks, and 2.2 turnovers and 2.7 fouls. His shooting percentage was 55.7% (5.7/10.2), a three-point shooting percentage of 40% (2.0/5.0), and a free throw shooting percentage of 83.9% (4.3/5.2).

Coward was actually somewhat unknown before this season. He played for Willamette University, a NCAA Division III team in his freshman year. He transferred to Eastern Michigan University in his sophomore season. Although he is an NCAA Division I team, he has not received much attention due to his mediocre strength. After switching to Washington State this season, Coward was reimbursed in advance due to injury shortly after the season began. Coward's performance in limited playing time is indeed remarkable. His performance in the joint trial physical test has also attracted widespread attention, but only those teams who have tried him may know about his strength.
