It is reported that Cavaliers defender Jerome's contract has expired and will become a free agent this summer. The Cavaliers have Jerome's early bird rights, and according to the rules, they can sign a four-year, $64 million contract.
Jerome played 70 games for the Cavaliers in the regular season, averaging 12.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game, shooting percentage of 51.6%, three-point shooting percentage of 43.9%, and free throw shooting percentage of 87.2%. Jerome ranked second in the regular season sixth man. In the first round of the playoffs against the Heat, Jerome averaged 16.2 points per game, but in the second round of the game against the Pacers, Jerome struggled on both offense and defense.
