Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta applauded the fans.

A new report says Premier League giants Arsenal have "completed" a summer signing, while another deal is "nearly" completed. The Gunners need to stay busy during this summer’s transfer window as they slid down this season under Mikel Arteta.

Injuries plagued Arsenal, but they weren't doing well enough because they didn't win the trophy in another season.

Arsenal were punished for their failure in the transfer market, as it was clear that they were in desperate need of a new striker.

It is well known that their top priority this summer is to sign a top forward, but they are expected to sign players in other positions as well.

The Independent's Miguel Delaney's detailed report delves into "the biggest transfer window of Arsenal's generation", claiming that Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi's deal "has been finalized since last summer".

The Spanish international, whose contract includes a £51 million termination clause, is a long-term goal for Arsenal and is widely reported to be likely to move to the Emirates after rejecting Liverpool before the start of the season.

Arsenal also has close ties with Espanyol star Joan Garcia, who has performed well in La Liga this season.

A recent report said that Manchester United is plotting to hijack Arsenal's Garcia, but Delaney claims the Gunners are "to be signed as David Raya's challenger".

As much of these deals have been done, Arsenal's "main focus" is the striker, with "most of the work so far" targeting Benjamin Sesco of RB Leipzig, while "they are also interested in Sporting Lisbon's Victor Giokelez, Hugo Ekitic and Oli Watkins of Frankfurt".

Regarding Arsenal's introduction of a new winger, Delaney explained:

The most incredible signing is to sign an explosive left forward, but the club now realizes that they urgently need to match Bukayo Saka's efficiency on the other side. They have become one-sided.

Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams is ideal, with his buyout clause believed to be around £50m but he is paid higher, while Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo has a higher transfer fee but lower salary.

"Arsenal also likes Brentford's Brian Mbuemo, but he has to be retrained on the left."
