May 9th Italian striker Oliviero Gallini died at the age of 68 after a long illness.

Gallini played for clubs such as Atlanta, Lazio, Inter Milan, etc. Atlanta official statement said: "Atlanta expresses condolences for Oliviero Gallini's death. He was born in Stzzano in 1957 and played in Atlanta in 1987-88 and 1988-89, scoring 27 goals in 55 appearances. In the 1987-88 season, Galini scored 17 goals, helping the team advance to Serie A. Lazio Club official also said: "Lazio expressed deep condolences for the death of former player Oliviero Gallini. He joined Lazio in the 1984-85 season. In the second year of joining Lazio, he played 38 appearances and scored 18 goals, winning the love of Lazio fans. In this sad moment, the chairman, management, coach, and all members of the Lazio family are by the side of Galini's family, and deeply missed this man and this player.
