June 1, According to the Mirror, Liverpool coach Slot is looking for a new assistant coach, and Kuyt becomes one of the three candidates as Heatinga will leave the team to Ajax as head coach.

Heatinga has played side by side with Slot on the coaching bench at Liverpool and helped the team win the Premier League title by an overwhelming margin, but he will now return to Amsterdam. Therefore, Liverpool need to find new members for their coaching team.

, who played for Liverpool for six years, is on the shortlist, who played for the Reds in the Champions League final and is expected to leave Billshot's head coach in the coming weeks as the team has been relegated from the Belgian top league.

Other candidates considered include some people Slot knew when he was working before, Pusic, who served as Slot's assistant coach for Alkmar and Feyenoord, recently left the position of Donetsk miners' coach. He won the domestic double last year and won the Ukrainian Cup again this season.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Etienne Reyen is also considered. He is Feyenoord's current assistant coach and was expected to follow Slot to Liverpool last summer but failed to make it due to work permit issues.

Despite changes in the coaching team, Slot supported Ajax in signing his former assistant coach. He said last week when asked if Ajax was considering hiring Heatinga: "If Ajax is smart enough, they will consider him. He is ready to take on such a position. But if he is smart enough, he will stay for another season."

Ajax has been looking for a new manager after Farioli's resignation at the end of the season, and the Dutch side's dramatic collapse in the final weeks caused them to lose their Eredivisie title by losing a nine-point lead in the final five games.

Hetinga said of her departure: "I had a wonderful year there (Liverpool) and winning the league was the pinnacle of our work. But my conversations with Alex (Technical Director) and Marin (Football Director), and the idea behind it, made me very excited to start working here."
