October 24th Before the start of the Europa League match between Roma and Plzen Victory at home, Juventus legend Nedvěd was interviewed. He talked about his understanding of the Czech team, Roma coach Gasperini and his old club Juventus.

Q: You are here as a representative of the Czech Football Association. Do you know the Plzen Victory team?

Nedved: Of course I know about Victory Plzen because I am scouting some players for the national team. I started playing here (Czech Republic) when I was 14 years old and I am happy to accompany them to Rome with the utmost respect. It's a huge honor to be here.

Q: How do you evaluate the current state and playing style of Victory Plzen?

Nedvěd: Data for Plzen’s victory? They are changing their formation, getting used to playing with a back four, and their style of play is more attacking. They have some problems on the defensive level. As for whether they can reach the level of the Europa League, we have to see. Unfortunately, not all of their players are of Czech nationality.

Q: How do you evaluate Roma coach Gasperini?

Nedved: Gasperini? I have always admired Gasperini, I have always followed him, he promotes offensive football and emphasizes a lot of confrontation. You Roma fans are very lucky to have such a coach in Roma. Definitely a world-class coach.

Q: What do you think of the current Serie A landscape?

Nedved: I just talked with Federico Balzaretti for a while. The Italian league is very balanced and the level of all teams has improved, although I still think Inter Milan is ahead of all teams.

Q: What do you think of Juventus’ current situation?

Nedved: Juve moment? They responded in Madrid and I know how difficult it is to wear this shirt and how difficult it is to play there. There you have to be 100% at all times, otherwise you have no chance of survival in this team. They need time to become the real Juventus.

Q: What are your memories of the Rome Derby?

Nedved: Rome Derby? It's always great, it feels great to play in the derby, I started my Serie A career here almost 30 years ago and it feels unbelievable. It was the toughest game of my football career, but also the best.

Q: What do you think of the Italian team's World Cup prospects?

Nedved: Is Italy going to the World Cup? I hope they go, but I hope the Czechs don't meet them in the play-offs, I hope they advance directly early.
