Poaching Tottenham! BBC: West Bromwich invites 33-year-old Tottenham assistant coach Mason to coach the team

reported on May 30 that West Brom is discussing coaching with Tottenham assistant coach Mason.

Mason, 33, currently serves as an assistant coach at Tottenham, has become the first choice candidate for the Championship West Brom. Negotiations are underway on both sides and each party is optimistic that Mason accepts the position.

Mason's contract with Tottenham will expire at the end of June, so negotiations on his termination will not be too complicated. If West Brom wants Mason to take office immediately, they need to make a formal request to Tottenham to cancel his contract for the remaining weeks ahead of schedule, but that is not expected to be a barrier.

West Brom won 9th place in the Championship in the 24-25 season. Mason was a former Tottenham Hotspur player. He retired in 2018 due to a serious head injury. Later, he joined Tottenham Hotspur's coaching team and served as assistant coaches for Mourinho, Conte and Postkoglu.
