Hupu, August 27, Hamburg Football Club head coach Porzin accepted an exclusive interview with Photo News after the opening match of the Bundesliga.

Mr. Porzin, this Friday, the derby between Hamburg and St. Pauli will be held at the People's Park Stadium. How do you feel before you welcome your home debut in the Bundesliga?

Borzin (34 years old): I am very excited. The overall atmosphere of the Bundesliga is completely different from that of the Bundesliga, and the atmosphere is also stronger. It's exciting to start from the Bundesliga badge printed on the player's jersey. Seeing this, coupled with the home match against St. Pauli, it was awesome. Bundesliga – This is the goal we have been working on over the past few years. We will do our best to win this game – to make all Hamburg fans happy.

Sao Pauli successfully relegated last season. Can the Hamburger learn from their city rivals?

Despite the fierce competition in sports, we must acknowledge the progress of St. Pauli and their successful football style and attitude to avoid relegation. Because of this, we can learn from their strategies and other Bundesliga clubs.

As a coach, he led Hamburg to the first league this May. What changes have happened to life in Hamburg?

IHU: I think the position of Hamburg coach, as well as the position of Hamburg mayor, may be the most concerned Hamburgers. Therefore, people's attention has increased; many things have changed. People take the initiative to contact me when shopping in supermarkets, dining in restaurants, or taking public transportation.

Are you still using public transportation?

Yes, my girlfriend and I often travel on HVV transportation or bikes, which is usually wiser than driving in a city traffic jam.

What did people say to you?

is usually just a saying of "thank you". Thanks for successfully leading Hamburg to the Bundesliga. I think it’s a wonderful and happy thing to stay connected, whether it’s in training, in the city, or in the restaurant. We hope to have a harmonious relationship with people.

25 years later, we finally arrived in the Bundesliga. What does this mean to you?

This will let you release a lot of emotions and endorphins yourself, not only me, but everyone on the Hamburg team entered the season with that feeling.

Hamburg drew 0-0 with Borussia Mönchengladbach in the first match. What does a successful season look like for you?

If we can succeed in relegation and create some special moments, it should be fine. For example, defeat Sao Paulo and Werder Bremen in the derby.

Or if the team is in a highly efficient team, there are players who make history, like we did in the first round of the German Cup at Pirmasens.

What do you think Hamburg is now in 7 years after leaving the Bundesliga?

In terms of financial situation alone, there is a huge difference between us and other clubs (Hamburg received only €31.4 million in television fees, while Berlin United, ranked 13 last year, received €55.8 million this season). Nevertheless, we still want to make the most of these broadcast fees and make the hamburger relegation successful.

Your relationship with your grandmother is very special. She will send you WhatsApp messages and evaluate the game and players. How did your communication before the start of the season?

My grandmother is a hardcore Hamburger fan. After the upgrade, she was very proud. She also participated in the celebration and took photos with me and Horst Hrubesch (the Hamburger logo).

This means a lot to her. This time, instead of focusing on the team itself, she tried to comfort me and convince me that I could handle new challenges and that our club was heading in the right direction. Her typical behavior of protecting her child (laughs).
