May 7th According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United's equipment administrators will also receive a salary cut.

It is reported that Sir Ferguson is about to end his role as Manchester United ambassador with an annual salary of £2 million, and his right-hand man, equipment administrator Albert Morgan, was also told that the contract will change.

It is understood that Morgan will continue to work for the club, but his salary will be calculated based on the number of appearances, not a fixed income. The decision came after meeting with Carrington Club officials on Thursday. Sources said the move was to align Morgan's contract with other club legends and ambassadors as United continues to cut costs under Sir Ratcliff and Ineos. The club is currently planning to lay off another 200 employees. Morgan, 79, retired with Ferguson in 2013, ending his 20-year equipment management work at Manchester United. He has been a regular visitor to match days, tours and European tours since, and insiders say he is expected to continue in the role under the new terms.

As Manchester United prepares for a new round of layoffs, it is reported that U18 coach Adam Lawrence may also leave as he is considering new challenges.
