Premier League 2025-26 season jersey review: Putting aside the home team, which one is your dish?

6:48am, 4 July 2025【Football】

With the progress of the summer league and the prevalence of transfer rumors, the new Premier League season seems to be far away. But it will never be too early to evaluate the "battle suits" of each team in the 2025-26 season.

20 teams will not restart the league until mid-August, but several clubs have announced their jerseys for the next season, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Chelsea and Manchester City have even worn their jerseys to participate in the FFC World Cup.

ESPN has launched annual analysis and will rank each new home, away and third away (and sometimes fourth) jersey. Let's see which one is worth buying.

13. Tottenham Hotspur's jerseys at home (Nike)

Tottenham's jerseys are really boring. They have launched a set of home jerseys with no highlights early. Indeed, in recent years, Tottenham has developed the habit of launching mediocre home jerseys, which are almost difficult to distinguish from each other.

Unfortunately, this is just the latest of their many mediocre works, and looks more like a training suit than a jersey suitable for home appearances.

12. Aston Villa Away (Adidas)

A little strange is that Villa's black and gray away jersey is designed to pay tribute to the Bullring Mall in downtown Birmingham. The smooth lines on the sleeves and the hexagonal pattern on the torso are designed to mimic the futuristic architectural look of Selfridges’ department store. Will this jersey be sold in a hot spot?

11. Brighton The shooting of the home (Nike)

High Fashion Conference cannot cover up the fact that in the final analysis, this outfit is similar to the style of the Seagulls. The season’s iconic blue and white stripes differ from the standard yellow decor, dotted with mint turquoise, like the railroad tracks on the seafront of the city.

10. Chelsea Away game (Nike)

Chelsea will wear a white away jersey again, and the orange-blue color scheme of last season has been replaced. The slightly low-key green and red color details visually echo the club's away jerseys in the 1974-75 season. They were out early in the FA Cup and League Cup at the time, and eventually relegated from the old First Division for the first time in more than a decade.

9. Tottenham Hotspur Away game (Nike)

The slogan of this jersey is "In the dark, we dare to challenge", using an all-black design, with a dark gray grid pattern superimposed to add texture. It's a little more interesting than the home jersey, but it's actually nothing special.

8. Manchester City Home (Puma)

Manchester City fans like jerseys with ribbons, but clubs rarely use them on home jerseys. The sky blue jersey is decorated with a slender cloud-like oblique stripe on the front, as if it is floating. It felt like an early draft design that had never been thoroughly refined, but if head coach Guardiola wore it to lead the team back on the road to victory, fans wouldn't care.

7.Wolves Home (Sudu)

This jersey is exquisitely designed, and the pattern imprinted on the jersey fabric also reflects the team's long history. It is inspired by the decoration and old-time entertainment of the Molyneux Playground – a Victorian park that was once home to the Molyneux Stadium.

6. Chelsea Home (Nike)

Compared with the "Blue Flame" design last season, Chelsea's jersey design this time is less gorgeous, but instead uses a rather plain blue jersey, aiming to pay tribute to Chelsea's small world of its own. The angular patterns on the

jerseys are made from digital scans of local municipal buildings, such as the columnar facade of Chelsea’s old town hall. This jersey is good, but not particularly eye-catching.

5. Manchester United Home (Adidas)

Last season, Manchester United struggled in the Premier League and eventually suffered the worst record in the team's history. Now, they hope that a brand new jersey will bring a recovery. The

jersey design is quite traditional, with pure red as the base, and is decorated with sporadic black and white decorations. However, the jersey material cleverly incorporates elements of Old Trafford Stadium, and the embellished stripes echo the marks of Dream Theatre Stadium, the player's rest area and the shapes of the stands. Although this home jersey is very practical, it is destined to be unimpressive.

4.Arsenal Home (Adidas)

Gunners' uniforms are standard red and white sleeves, and the only eye-catching decoration is the club's iconic Gothic "A" logo, which is incorporated into the fabric pattern. The “A” logo first appeared on the Arsenal team logo "Victoria Concordia Cressett" in the late 1940s. This simple and modern jersey elegantly pays tribute to the club's tradition.

3. Newcastle United Home (Adidas)

Newcastle's iconic black and white stripes are even more prominent due to the rough edges of the stripes (which the club calls "Shepherd's Pattern") and bright blue trim. At the back of the jersey, the team slogan of "Howay the Lads" (good, boys) adds a unique Newcastle style.

2.Everton Home stadium (Castore)

Next season, Everton will usher in the new Hill Dickinson Stadium. For this reason, they specially designed a set of matching jerseys, which are inspired directly from this stadium that can accommodate 52,000 spectators.

For the Toffees, this Royal Blue home jersey is slightly unusual, with a unique wavy pattern throughout, symbolizing the Mersey River flowing through their new seafront home.. The simple and effective design is of great significance – when it comes to jersey design, we need to see more of this design.

1. Newcastle United The third away game (Adidas)

This jersey has sparked nostalgia among fans of a specific age group. It is a modern interpretation of the club's three-color dark blue, green and gold away jerseys in the 1997-98 season, which has become a classic. The

Modern remodel omits some unique details from the original jersey (such as stripes that deviate from the center of the jersey and a huge seahorse pattern), but the color scheme is still excellent, and the retro clover logo adds a touch of fashion.
