July 10th Scottish giant Glasgow Rangers Club officially announced that 22-year-old Burkina Faso defender Nasser Giga is loaned from the Premier League Wolves for one season. Jiga will wear the Wanderers' jersey and inject new vitality into the team's defense line in the new season.

Jiga was born in 2002 and started his career at the domestic club Vitese in Burkina Faso. He made his career debut in 2019. In the summer of 2021, he entered European football, joined the Swiss powerhouse Basel, and competed in the European Union with the team. He was subsequently loaned to the French club Nimes and accumulated more than 20 appearance experience in the Ligue 2 League. In the same year, Jiga made his debut for the Burkina Faso national team and was selected for the 2023 African Cup lineup, playing against Algeria in the group stage.

2023/24 season, Jiga joined Serbian giant Belgrade Red Star on loan, helping the team win the double championship in the domestic league and cup. Last summer, he officially transferred to Belgrade Red Star and started all 8 games in the Champions League group stage, with an eye-catching performance. In February this year, Jiga joined the Premier League Wolves and made his Premier League debut against Bournemouth. He made a total of 5 appearances for the team at the end of the season. After joining the Wanderers, Jiga said: "I am very happy to join a top club like Wanderers in Scotland and even European football. I will do my best and try my best in every game. I believe this is the team that suits me, I just want to play and enjoy football."

Wanderers coach Russell Martin welcomed Jiga's joining: "Although Jiga is only 22 years old, he has been in the Champions League and the Premier League. We have accumulated rich experience in high-level events. We believe that he has all the qualities of success in the Wanderer and I look forward to working with him."

Rangers Sports Director Kevin Terwell also said: "We are excited to have loaned Jiga to the team. He has excellent physical and psychological qualities and is competent for challenges in both domestic and European arenas. We look forward to him continuing to grow under the guidance of Russell and his coaching team."
