August 7, "Roman Sports" reported that Spal Football Club officially declared bankruptcy and they will restart their journey from the Italian fifth-level league in the new season.
Spar was still in Serie A six years ago. The club's fate has faded for months and finally headed towards its worst outcome - judicial liquidation. The decision was settled several hours after the hearing, and the entire debt settlement process will be initiated.
December 11 is marked as the next critical date, when the liability status review will be conducted. It should be noted that the 30 days before this date is the deadline for all creditors to declare their claims. The liquidation application was jointly filed by about 70 creditors, including the player group who was owed 1.2 million euros in salary and other club employees who were owed about 170,000 euros in salary.
These debts also need to be combined with unpaid taxes and social security funds in recent years, with a total amount of approximately 8.7 million euros.
