People's Daily, Salvador, Brazil, July 20 (Reporter Song Yiran) On the morning of July 20 local time, the 2025 Robot World Cup humanoid competition came to an end in Salvador, Brazil. Tsinghua University Vulcan team from China won the championship, and China Agricultural University Shanhai team won the runner-up. This is the first time that a Chinese team has won the championship in the most valuable humanoid group in the event, creating history.

In this competition, the Chinese team performed well and won consecutive victories. Tsinghua Vulcan team defeated the University of Texas Austin and Tsinghua University TH-MOS team in the group stage with scores of 16:0, 9:0 and 12:0, and advanced with an overwhelming advantage. In the final, the Vulcan team defeated Shanhai team 5:2 and brought the humanoid championship trophy back to China for the first time.

In the small group competition, Tsinghua University TH-MOS team entered the finals and won the runner-up. The team defeated the six-time champion French Rhoban 5-4 in the group stage and beat the Australian NUbots 8-0 in the semi-finals. In the final, TH-MOS team lost to Germany's Boosted HTWK team, who won the small group championship.

This year's Robot World Cup shows the continuous progress of the Chinese team in fields such as artificial intelligence, control systems and hardware design. It is worth mentioning that the robots used by Tsinghua University Vulcan team, China Agricultural University Shanhai team and Tsinghua TH-MOS team in the competition were all developed by Chinese Enterprise Acceleration Evolution Technology Co., Ltd. These domestic robots have also been adopted by many international teams including Germany's Boosted HTWK team, showing the increasing influence of China's manufacturing in the global robotics field.
