Wrexham official: Broadhead returns for youth training, transfer fee of 7.5 million breaks team history record

Hupu, August 15th, reported that the English Championship promotion, Wrexham officially announced that Nathan Broadhead has joined from Ipswich, and the transfer fee has not been made public. The specific amount depends on registration and international competition approval.

The Welsh international and former Wrexham youth training player will sign a four-year contract with the club until the end of the 2028/29 season.

The Bangor-born striker started his youth training career in Bangor City, then transferred to Wrexham Academic College and eventually joined Everton.

He played for the Toffees for 15 years, made his debut in the UEFA Cup in 2017 and assisted with a win against Limassol Apollo.

While playing for Everton, he was loaned to the English Football League (EFL) many times, joining Burton for the first time in the 2019/20 season.

The Welsh player made his first appearance in the Premier League for Everton in the 2020/21 season, and in the following season, he was loaned to Sunderland and made 20 appearances in the League One and scored 10 goals, helping the team upgrade for the first time.

In the 2022/23 season, he joined Wigan Athletic on loan, and then officially transferred to Ipswich in January, where he scored 8 goals to help the team advance to the English Championship.

In his debut in the Welsh League that season, he also scored a crucial equalizer goal in the Champions League. 2024 European Cup qualifiers against Croatia.
