Hupu November 05 News The Japan Football Association and official equipment supplier Adidas Japan officially released the new Japanese national team 2026 home jersey on November 6. This new jersey takes "horizon" as its core concept and aims to show Japanese football's belief and hope in moving forward and pursuing a higher realm.

The multi-layered pattern on the chest of the jersey is inspired by the sea-sky boundary that surrounds Japan - symbolizing vastness, tranquility and endless possibilities. The eye-catching Japanese flag is printed on the back of the collar, which symbolizes the pride and mission of wearing the jersey and fighting for the country's honor.

The design of the goalkeeper jersey is based on Asura, the god who protects Sakyamuni in Buddhism. This inspiration echoes the goalkeeper's posture on the court to protect the goal and support the team, forming a visual expression that symbolizes both strength and spirituality.

The Japanese national team will aim to win the world championship and compete in the 2026 World Cup to be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico. This new jersey uses the image of the horizon to depict the infinite hope and light leading to the future, symbolizing the courage and firm belief of Japanese players and all supporters to fight side by side.

The team will wear the new jersey for the first time in the Kirin Challenge Cup 2025 against Ghana on Friday, November 14th at Toyota Stadium in Aichi Prefecture.
