Everton Club continues to strengthen its lineup this summer, and coach David Moyes will sign his supporters and turn his attention to the goalkeeper position. On July 15, the team officially announced that it would sign Irish goalkeeper Mark Travers from Bournemouth, and both sides signed a contract for four years. Travers, 25, ended her nine-year career in Bournemouth and officially joined the Toffees. During his time at Bournemouth, he played 82 times for the first team. In the second half of last season, he was loaned to the English Championship Middlesbrough and served as the main goalkeeper. He has previously played for Weymouth, Swindon and Stoke City on loan.

This signing is Everton's move to deal with the change in goalkeeper's position. With Asil Begovic and Joao Virginia's contract expiration, the club urgently needs to add goalkeepers. Travers, who has four Irish national team appearances, will become a contender for the team's main goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. After joining, Travers was interviewed by Everton's official TV station. He said: "I feel extremely proud and excited to be an Everton player. When you come here, you can deeply feel the historical heritage and grand structure of this club - from the huge fan base to the amazing construction of new stadiums, and the club's clear development direction, all confirm this."

"Adding north has opened a new chapter in my career. I can't wait to be a member of this great club at such an exciting moment." Travers added.
