Tottenham Hotspur Announcement: We are pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Frank as the new head coach, with the contract to 2028.
Thomas has extensive experience in English football. He joined Brentford in 2016 and has thus become one of the longest coaches in the Premier League. During his time at Brentford, he completely changed the club, elevating it from the Champions League to a stable Premier League team and continued to break through with a performance that exceeded expectations for a long time.
The Thomas we appointed this time is one of the most progressive and innovative head coaches in football. He has recognized achievements in player and team development and we look forward to him leading the team to prepare for the new season.
Thomas will bring Justin Cochran (first team assistant coach), Chris Haslam (performance director and first team assistant coach) and Joe Newton (first team coach analyst) from Brentford, while Andreas Georgeson (first team assistant coach) will join from Manchester United.
Thomas Frank is 51 years old. He came to the UK in 2016 to become Brentford's assistant coach. He became the head coach of the Bees in October 2018. His original contract expires in 2027.
In the past seven years, Frank has led Brentford to 317 games, with a record of 136 wins, 71 draws and 110 losses. His best result in coaching the Bees in the Premier League is 9th.
This season, Brentford won 16 wins, 8 draws and 14 losses in the Premier League, and finally ranked 10th.
