Official: Liverpool Women s Football Team loaned Japanese women s international Risa Shimizu from Manchester City Women s Football Team, with a one-year lease

September 5th Liverpool Women's Football Team officially announced today that the team officially loaned Japanese women's football international defender Risa Shimizu from Manchester City Women's Football Team for one year.

Liverpool Women's Football Official Announcement: "After reaching agreement with Manchester City Women's Football Team, Liverpool Women's Football Team officially completed the loan signing of Kiyomizu Risa, and she will play for the team in the 2025/26 season. Kiyomizu Risa plays as the right back. She is experienced and will work with her coach Gareth Taylor again during her time playing for West Ham Women's Football Team and Manchester City Women's Football Team. At the age of 29, she made her debut in the Japanese women's football team in October 2017 and participated in two Olympics. During her time at Liverpool Women's Football Team, she will wear a No. 5 jersey."

Kiyomizu Risa joined Manchester City Women's Football Team from West Ham Women's Football Team in July 2024 and signed for three years, but due to a cruciate ligament fracture during the Paris Olympics, she missed the field for a long time last season. At Liverpool Women's Football Team, she will meet with her national teammate Nagano Fukuha.
