Amorim: Maybe I will rotate the B fee next season; if I tell Sheshko that I don’t play well, I’ll just live with it.

Hupu News on November 8th: Manchester United head coach Amorim attended the pre-match press conference against Tottenham. The following is the second part.

Will you support Casemiro staying at the club long-term?

We don’t know what will happen in the future. My goal is to keep trusting Casemiro and Maguire, who are facing the same problem. I don't know what the future holds.

Let's focus on this season. I'm very happy with Casemiro, that's very important. I'm happy with Harry too, but I know what you're asking.

Let’s focus on this season and see next season.

I know you have a long-term plan to get the club back to the top, but against Nottingham Forest you took a first-half lead and moved up to second in the Premier League. This probably illustrates how fierce the competition is at the top of the table. With that in mind, and the fact that you haven't qualified for Europe, do you feel United have an opportunity to do something special this season, exceed expectations and make a breakthrough in their long-term plans?

I think we can win any game. If we have a chance to win, give it our all. We have to pay attention to every detail and try to win every game.

I don't want to talk about new goals.

You yourself said everything is close. Is everything really close?

Three weeks can change everything. Three weeks later, everything changed. Four weeks ago, we were talking about something completely different.

So, let's focus on the next game and focus on what we can do. I also agree that when you're a goal down and you're away from home and you feel like you're in control of the game and you know you have a chance to be somewhere near second in the table, we could have started the second half differently. I agree with this.

The players are feeling this, and we discussed it this week. So, let's focus on beating Tottenham Hotspur.

Can Manchester United win?

I think we can. Let's do our best to win the next game.

Hi, Reuben. Benjamin Sheshko started as you'd expect given he's never played in the Premier League before. However, Bruno seemed a bit disappointed with him at Nottingham Forest. When the ball was passed, he missed a good opportunity. Are you reassured by his current status?

Yes, I am relieved. But he was not reassured. I mean, I understand the harsh realities of football and he's definitely going to have difficulties.

This is normal. He has no experience here. And then when everyone tells you that you are great and that you are the next big star, that feeling is indescribable.

You will also hear people say this about Sheshko. Then you come to a club that is extremely competitive. If you don't perform well every week, you're going to hear all kinds of criticism from club legends, pundits and the media.

Sometimes, what they say is right. It's really hard for a young player to understand that this is normal and still be confident at the same time. Especially for a young player who is very controlling and wants to be in charge.

But he cannot control everything. So I knew that when I started training with Ben, I saw that he had more potential than I thought. He's going to have difficulties and we need to understand his style of play and incorporate it into our philosophy.

So, I think everything is pretty easy. He will be our long-term striker. But he will definitely encounter these difficulties and setbacks on the way forward.

This is normal in football.

Hi, Ruben, it was Gary Neville who said Sheshko was in poor condition. I'm sure you've seen it, and you must be laughing. What do you think about these former players making comments like this?

Do you think it will have an impact on the players if they say these things in the media?

Of course, no one likes to hear this, but he does struggle a little, and that's true. So, let's accept that. It's not something personal, nor is it something trivial.

That's what I've been trying to explain to the players. This is nothing personal. This is just an opinion and will change in three weeks.

If you do it right, then in three weeks, everything may be gone. So, of course, it's hard to accept, but my advice to Ben is, you'll get used to it. Then everything will become natural.

Just like your Monday here. It's part of the process and we're going to help him and we're going to protect Ben because he works so hard and he wants to succeed. So he will definitely succeed.

Hi Ruben, you talked last week about how frustrating it was to lose to Tottenham in last season's final. They obviously won the game and you lost. They changed coaches, but our club didn’t change coaches.

Has this made you aware of the subtleties of the industry and the importance of clubs supporting their managers?

This is completely different. I've said that I'm really lucky to be here and I know it. It is also important for others to understand how lucky I am to have this opportunity.

If you watched the game, I think we deserved to win. But the end result doesn't matter. It's sad to see one coach leave after a European win while others stay.

But sometimes, this may determine whether to win a more important championship in the future. So, I think that’s what Manchester is about.

Bruno Fernandes is obviously an extremely important player for the club and has been for many years. His record is unbelievable and I think he only missed two games through injury during his time at Manchester United. He is obviously older now than when he first arrived.

Would you consider rotating him and letting him rest? He's obviously very important and he's 31 now. Or do you keep a close eye on him and, if he needs rest, give him those rest days you just mentioned?

We only have one game per week. There are always opportunities. It's really hard.

I have said that we only play one game a week, and we do a good job in this regard, but then there are many players who should play, who should share the playing time, and who should compete for their positions in different ways. But we don't have enough space, so I'm not thinking about player rotation now. It will definitely be considered in the future and is something Bruno needs to understand.

If you want to gain a foothold in this league, if you want to win every game, including European competitions, he has to rotate the lineup. Therefore, Bruno should think carefully, maybe he will be rotated next year.
